Apply to Balfour

Admissions Criteria

In order to best prepare students for college, Balfour Academy only accepts students in the summer before they begin either seventh or eighth grade, and follows them through high school. Applications for the summer program are made available every April. Besides completing the application, each student is required to come to an interview with his or her parents. Preference is given to students who:
• Are entering seventh or eighth grade
• Live in the Northeastern neighborhood
• Attend Boston Public Schools
• Seem genuinely interested in participating in the program.
Applications for new students are available after April 1st each year and must be returned the deadline. All applicants fitting the above criteria and who return their forms on time will be assigned an interview. The application process is NOT first-come, first-served.
